I'M HAVING A MOSCHINO MOMENT

A fantastic new flagship location from this Italiano design house opened a mere five short blocks from my apartment, squeezing itself in among the likes of Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jeffrey, and the Apple Store. (That place is hipper than harem pants.)
Moschino evokes playfulness: Oversized chairs, gigantic chandeliers, heart-shaped door handles, bright colors, etc. Of course, yours truly could really only afford a red, lip-shaped coin purse... BUT MAN it was worth every penny in my Whole Foods ''Feed Bag''.
My recent rediscovery of this old flame inspired a close examination of the latest runway shows and here are the results:

Men's:

LOVE THIS. A little bit classic, a little bit rock and roll. While the bow tie is not the easiest look to pull off away from the altar (or runway), these models (H-O-T) manage to do it with ease. And why? Well, sunglasses and significant 'tude definitely help.

And NOW, Women's:

Fur and animal prints and monochromatic dresses with tights, OH MY! Except for the one photograph which seems to be solely displaying a ridiculous ruffled neck-muff, I am HOOKED.

Everybody LOVES a Little Shoulder

Last weekend, while I observed the latest trends at the Surf Lodge in Montauk, all of the perfectly coifed gals we love to hate were out for cocktails. Their neon pink nails were glowing, skinny scarves were draped loosely around their necks (it’s like, 500 degrees outside, ladies!) and every foot was wound up tightly in severely strappy gladiator flats. And then, spotted within the vibrant sea of pretty, printed maxi-dresses and some sad, 3/4 sleeved excuses for Summer wear were…

The One-Shoulder dresses. Ruched, printed, smocked or ruffled, these asymmetrically-friendly little numbers are screaming sexy this season. Bronzed shoulders and long legs are in, and there is not a Britney Spears butt cleavage in sight.

That being said, and let me know of I'm wrong here, it could be a tad difficult for the busty glamour girl to pull this look off comfortably, right? (I am with you.) I suggest going out and buying yourself an amazing strapless bra because this trend ain't going nowhere. It seems to be taking us right in to the Fall; I've seen one-shoulder Summer dresses becoming one-shoulder Winter wool dresses and you know what? I am pretty darn excited.

BUT, I could be the only one who likes it.... Are these just a bunch of lopsided frocks or did Wilma Flintstone just get it right before any of us did??

WAIT A SECOND! Are Katie Holmes and Wilma Flintstone sisters?
